The "Ed Tech Academy" is an offering of Technology Integration Professional Development workshops, each conducted multiple times over the course of the school year at three different locations.

All CPS teachers, staff, and administrators may enroll in any of the individual two-hour sessions.  Attendees may receive PDPs, or for every five workshops attended, a masters' plus credit can be earned upon the completion of a culminating personal technology integration "Action Plan."  All workshops and credits are completely free!

See below for workshop descriptions, dates and locations of the sessions.  All will run from 3:30 to 5:30 at each respective site.

To register for one or several workshops, head on over the the Electronic Registrar and search the course list for "Academy."  Remember, our "Organization ID" is 30905.

If you are unable to access the Electronic Registrar, we still want you to take the course!  Contact Kevin McGonegal through FirstClass to enroll.

What teachers are saying about the Ed Tech Academy:
I found the workshops to be very user-friendly and accessible by all staff from various roles and grade levels.

I learned more about First Class in 2 hours than I learned in over 10 years of using it!!

Both were such a great use of my time and were useful to not only my teaching but every day life. The classes are relevant to what we teach and do on a daily basis and I really appreciate them being offered!

Useful and well organized presentations. The hands-on participation is key for me.

I would recommend these workshops to everyone working in the district.

These workshops were one of the best I have attended. The presenter was knowledgeable and very supportive.

Informative, well paced, and very helpful.

I hope you offer these again next year because I have been singing the praises of these workshops. I hope my co-workers attend more in the future.

The instructor was very effective and knowledgeable in the field. I am not computer savvy and he was very patient with me!

It also helps to develop the step-by-step analytical skills which are crucial to all areas of academics. Even better, it's just plain fun!
